π¦ Batteries made from crab shells
Scientists at the University of Maryland have developed zinc batteries that use a biodegradable electrolyte made from carb shells. Electrolytes are what batteries need to shuttle ions between the positive and negative electrodes during charging and use. This new battery uses a gel electrolyte made with chitin, a biological material found in fungi, squid, and mostly in the exoskeletons of crustaceans.
βZinc is more abundant in earthβs crust than lithium. Generally speaking, well-developed zinc batteries are cheaper and safer.β β said the studyβs lead author Liangbing Hu.
The results were published in the journal Matter.Β
π Collective Dream Journaling
Have you ever kept a dream journal? Perhaps itβs time to dive into your subconscious. Dreams open portals into your hidden self and hidden worlds, revealing vital information to help us heal and meander our living reality. They are a wonderful gate into understanding your soul.
Collective dream journaling allows for observation of recurrent symbols and narratives among individuals in certain moments in history. They are a great storytelling device to document the hallucinations and visions of our generation.
